LEADING EDGE™ For Entrepreneurs is a 9-session business development course for both current business owners and for startups. This is a remote course which includes interactive learning exercises and conversations with your instructors, classmates, and business experts. In this course you will write the majority of your strategic business plan, learn best practices and money-saving tips, and network with fellow entrepreneurs in the North Metro Denver area.

Knowing where to start with your marketing goals, objectives, strategies, and tactics can feel overwhelming and there are other factors you need to know that should influence each as well. Often the best you thing you can do is slow down and start at the beginning to learn the basics and grow from there. We encourage you to take a deep breath and join us for this one-hour webinar as we hear from North Metro SBDC lead consultant and owner of Marketing Matters LLC, John Shields, to learn about the marketing essentials you need to get started on the right path for marketing your business successfully.

This course is a six-week program designed to help child care providers in the state of Colorado to improve their business practices to both better serve their customers and promote their business sustainability with increased revenues. No prior business training is required, all are welcome! The class will meet online via Zoom, and participants are also invited to meet online one-on-one with an SBDC business consultant during and after the course for specific and continued training and support.

Child care providers can earn professional development hours through the Professional Development Information System (PDIS) by attending all training sessions. Please note, a recorded option and follow up with the trainer is available if you have to miss a live class.

Training and consultation are available at no cost through partnership between the Colorado Department of Early Childhood (CDEC) and the Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), and funding from the Colorado Shines Brighter – Preschool Development Grant.
