I believe that a big part of 2021 is going to be focused on transitions. Specifically, how we – as employees, employers and concerned individuals – transition from where we are right now to the new normal – however it may look. And how do we help the companies we work for, and consult to, do that?
This post is for anyone who’s in the early stages of starting their business. If you’re already in business, then perhaps your business plan is just a fond memory, although it is probably a great idea to review and update your plan from time to time.
A business professor once asked his class if they knew the definition of a business consultant. After several earnest guesses, he finished the joke, “A business consultant is a person who rides down from the top of the hill after the battle is over and shoots all the wounded.”
With the end of the COVID-19 pandemic and its associated precautions nowhere in sight, small businesses must pivot to see the pandemic as a long-term structural challenge instead of a short-term crisis.
