Angela Atkinson has joined the North Metro Denver SBDC as the Center Director.
Angela has a background in consulting to small businesses, nonprofits, and governmental entities. She has held leadership positions with nonprofit organizations and owned a consulting business providing mentorship in marketing, research, strategic planning and leadership development in Southwest Colorado for more than 15 years.
In addition to her consulting practice, she owned her own business specializing in digital marketing, website development, and photography/videography. She is a strong believer in the power of compelling storytelling, and loves helping small businesses uncover and amplify their authentic voice through their messaging.
Angela has been an active member of local governmental boards and councils throughout her career. She holds a BA in English from Montana State University and an MBA in Nonprofit Management from the University of California Haas Graduate School of Business in Berkeley. She’s also studied abroad and volunteered with international organizations assisting refugees.
Michelle Flores is the North Metro SBDC Coordinator. Michelle’s role includes managing client intake, marketing, and website design.
Michelle joined the North Metro SBDC in December of 2019 with an excitement to join “people who help people” build and grow their small businesses!
She has a personal passion for small business, as she helped her son build his own vehicle wrap and decal business from the ground up. She understands the blood, sweat, and tears that go into building a business. Therefore, Michelle appreciates the fact that the North Metro SBDC offers help to new and existing businesses grow and prosper by providing FREE and confidential consulting and no- or low-cost training programs.
Michelle has an established reputation as a team and relationship builder who enjoys working with people; blending creativity with technology; skill in identifying improvements; and resolving challenges.
Dana has been with the SBDC for over 7 years. As a program coordinator, she helps run the Small Manufacturer’s AdvantEdge Program as well as the Leading Edge Strategic Planning Workshops. Dana enjoys working with clients, consultants and community partners that she has worked with over the years. She is a graduate from Front Range Community College and is finishing her Bachelors of Arts at Metropolitan State University of Denver.
Dana and her husband George of 24 years have 3 children, ages 22-17.

Linda is our fiscal services coordinator. Linda has worked at FRCC (full time and part time) for almost 19 years and has worked with the SBDC in some capacity since day one. Linda and her husband previously owned their own small business and she understands the many ups and downs, ins and outs of ownership. Linda has always been a detailed person and finds investigating the answers is always challenging so working with any numbers fascinates her. Linda is dedicated to her family, and loves to share stories and photos of her grandchildren!
The Colorado Small Business Development Center Network (SBDC) is funded through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The SBDC Network is a partnership between the State of Colorado, Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, the Small Business Administration (SBA), Colorado’s institutions of higher education, local economic development organizations and local chambers of commerce.
