As small business owners, we wear many hats and do a little bit of everything (or a lot a bit of everything). Most of us were lucky enough to never deal with a worst-case scenario in our business – until Covid-19. Dealing with an emergency can take all of our time and energy if not well-planned – and if the emergency happens to us as owners, it can be up to our employees or loved ones to try and deal with something they don’t understand at a time that is stressful. Planning for the worst case scenarios can actually help us do better work today, by staying organized, getting a team in place ahead of an emergency, as well as giving us peace of mind. In this program, we will talk about 4 common emergency scenarios – lawsuits, thefts, emergency response, and death of an owner – and how to prepare for them ahead of time.
